With its 3.5 "SATA hot-swap rack, the Zappiti One SE 4K HDR is capable of supporting up to 16TB of data internally; the equivalent of about 300 Blu-rays on a single hard disk. And as it is possible to exchange hard drives, you have no capacity limit! With the Zappiti One 4K HDR, you no longer need to worry about storage problems.

HEVC / H.265.
The Zappiti One SE 4K HDR is HEVC / H.265 compatible. This new compression format is the successor to H.264. This codec reduces file size by 50%.
Zappiti Real Cinema.
Cinema movies are shot at 24 frames per second (fps), but most video or Blu-ray files are recorded at 23.976 fps. Today, many multimedia players output a video signal at 24,000 Hz. However, this conversion generates problems of stuttering, in particular on video projectors. Zappiti Real Cinema technology maintains the original frame rate of the file, whether in 23.976 fps or 24,000 fps until the final display in order to enjoy the same fluidity as in the cinema and preserve the original integrity of the work displayed. On the other hand, thanks to autoframerate, the player automatically switches to the correct output frequency depending on the frame rate of the file, namely: 23.976 Hz, 24 Hz, 50 Hz and 59.94 Hz (60 Hz) depending on the type of file being played.

On the other hand, the software part has evolved a lot and many new options allow the HDR range to raise the bar even higher against the competition. Thanks to its new exemplary Zappiti MagicPixel v2.5 image processing, its new perfect HDR / SDR conversion, a complete and backlit remote control and easy-to-use and complete media center functions, as well as free support for French, the device of the French brand is on the top step of the podium with a Must AVCesar well deserved.

Zappiti One SE 4K HDR
The Zappiti One SE 4K HDR media player is a pleasant device to use and we did not experience any lags or issues when we tested it. We also didn’t experience any issues when we watched MKV 1080p AVC, as well as 2160p HDR 10-bit files; and while at it, our TV instantly switched to the HDR mode which was pretty neat. We also compared the image quality delivered by the Zappiti One SE 4K HDR media player with the one from nVidia Shield TV – Android TV player, and the Emby Android. None of these two featured a video post-treatment function unlike Zappiti. As for the Magic Pixel technology – which is always activated along with the Zappiti media player – offers you extra brightness and contrast, as well as allowing the image to benefit from more detailed textures without overdoing things. This is to make your entertainment experience more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a very good HDR media player and we’re definitely recommending the Zappiti One SE 4K HDR media player to you.

In conclusion, this new model is not a revolution but rather a nice evolution of the Zappiti One 4K HDR which, for 50€ more, will allow the most demanding fans to enjoy interesting options like the dual HDMI output and benefit better separation of audio-video signals. But it is especially the owners of old-generation home theater amps that will benefit the most from this second HDMI output and can enjoy a 4K image on their TV, without the need to change their AV receiver. Brillant!
